Advanced micronized copper preservative for exterior residential wood.

Convenient brush-on preservative for field-cuts, drilled holes, and intrusions to pressure treated wood used in above ground applications such as: siding, railings, deck boards, deck posts, fence posts, fence pickets, joists, timbers, and beams.
Start with the use category and end environment. MicroPro® and NatureWood® are engineered for exterior above-ground and ground-contact applications, while Advance Guard® and Hi-Bor® protect interior framing against termites and decay. Tell us about your project and our technical team will recommend the right treatment.
Micronized copper systems like MicroPro® disperse fine copper particles into the wood for durable exterior protection in wet, above-ground, and ground-contact conditions. Borate systems like Advance Guard® and Hi-Bor® are formulated for dry interior framing, defending against wood-destroying insects and fungal decay.
Yes. Our preservatives are EPA-registered, and several carry third-party environmental certifications such as SCS Environmentally Preferable Product and NGBS Green Certification. Long-lived treated wood also keeps carbon stored for decades, supporting our broader sustainability commitment.
Our preservative systems are evaluated against recognized standards including ICC-ES acceptance criteria and the relevant AWPA use-category standards (for example AWPA T1 and P50). Each product page lists the specific certifications and standards that apply to that treatment.
Koppers Performance Chemicals supplies the chemistry that authorized treating plants use to produce branded treated wood. Contact our Customer Services team and we will connect you with a licensed treater or distributor serving your region.
All current Safety Data Sheets, product specifications, and technical literature are available in our Resource Center. If you cannot locate a specific document, reach out and our team will send it to you directly.
Absolutely. Partners gain access to our engineering services team, analytical laboratories, and daily testing resources to help set up facilities, optimize process control, and keep treatment performance consistent from day one.
